The Dream

Emily always dreamed of an outdoor summer wedding but was a bit nervous about what might happen if the weather didn’t cooperate. Knowing she had indoor options made her comfortable moving ahead with her outdoor celebration plans. It was a very hot summer day followed by a light mist which cooled the day off a bit but made the evening delightful

How They Met

Emily and Mitchell first met as part of a sand volleyball league in Minneapolis. They first saw each other as opponents on separate teams, but, as fate would have it, a spot opened up on one of the teams, they became teammates and the rest is history. I guess you could say it was love at first spike!

The Proposal

Mitchell just couldn’t wait. The ring was to take four weeks to arrive and it seemed like an eternity. One day he just couldn’t wait any longer. He drove six hours to ask permission from the father of the bride and after granting permission drove another six hours home. The next day, having found a fake wedding ring with similar qualities, he pulled up to Emily’s second-floor apartment. He didn’t even make it up the stairs and proposed to her right there on the stairway steps. A few days later the jeweler called and the wedding ring had arrived. All he would have had to do is wait 24 hours!
